Animal Selfies

Monkey see, monkey do?
I know a gorilla is not a monkey... same idea though!
Animal Selfies for National Geographic is an advertising campaign from Sao Paulo, Brazil for National Geographic and stock photo agency Diomedia. This photo series came out last Spring, but it is absolutely adorable so I will share it with you now. It says one thing that may or may not be for the better: selfies are NOT going away.

Perhaps the almighty, self-indulgent trend of taking pictures of yourself isn't going away, but neither are cute pictures of animals doing human things. Think of the millions of views of cat pictures there are each day via Google search.

This is a humorous parody on reality. If animals thought to make fun of us, this is definitely a way they would do it. "There are a lot of terrible animal pictures out there" the tagline reads.

My favorite one is the kangaroo with the joey peaking out of its pocket. How many times do you see suggestive selfies with children somewhere in the background? I have-- a ridiculous amount of times.

If you like these animal ads (I sure did, they made me smile) be sure to follow Diomedia Brazil on Instagram. They have released even more animal selfies! #nofilter

Cheers!
Laura

By the way, Happy Friday the 13th! I want give you some Laura Luck (yes, that's a real thing) so you can make it through the day.
