The Great Khali: Funny ad from India

Even if you are an English speaker like me, the humor in this commercial translates beautifully (this version has the translation included). It feautures WWE champion, the Great Khali.

The commercial shows the Indian wrestler demolishing walls, furniture, ceiling and floors due to his massive size and strength. He dwarfs anyone he interacts with: family members, children, full-grown adults. This adds to the humor.

"Khali was a sweet child," the father says in a documentary-like setting, "but at times he didn't realize his own strength."

It is only when the Great Khali has a house made of Ambuja Cement, that he can coexist without accidental destruction.

"Then I realized the true joy of living in my home," he says as he bangs his head against the wall instead of through it. I quite enjoy the Indian music and dancing that finishes off the segment.

So when it comes to the "Great Khali vs. Building", the building wins if it is made of the right stuff. Nice concept and execution Ambuja Cement!

This commercial just came out a couple of days ago and it is already going viral on the Internet. I can see why.

Cheers!
Laura
